Fixing one sided relationships is essential to staying together with your love interest.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve just gotten together or have been married for ten years balance is critical.  What often happens in relationships is that one person nurtures more than the other.  That goes on for an extended period.  Eventually, the other person begins to resent it.  Relationships don’t decline in an instant.  It is usually a slow process which starts with things being overlooked, or the other person beginning to feel that they have been taken for granted.

Fixing one sided relationships begins with communications.

Why not consider telling your love interest how you feel?  If you are constantly doing all the giving in the relationship, tell them.  But don’t just express the problem, let them know the solution.  What would it take to make you feel that your relationship is not one sided?

Learning to develop more things in common also helps build satisfaction in one sided relationships.

Suppose your love interest enjoys football and you don’t.  For the sake of the relationship would you be willing to learn about football so that you can spend more time with him?  Suppose your love interest enjoys the opera and you don’t.  Would you be willing to compromise and go to the opera so that she will be happy?  Don’t do it grudgingly. Consider how much you truly value that person and simply decide I will enjoy watching them be happy, even if I hate football and the opera.

If you really want to fix a one sided relationships begin to do things before you are asked to do them.

If your love interest always complains about how tired they are when they get home from work and hate to have to cook dinner, then you can have the meal prepared before they get there.  If you love interest is always saying that the wish they had more time to do things, find out what you can do to lift that load.  Don’t wait for your spouse to yell, “Look, you got home hours before I did.  You could have cooked dinner.”  The key to fixing one sided relationships is simple – strive to make your love interest happy every day.  If both of you have that intent, nothing but blessing lay ahead.
