Vegetarian meals that taste like the real stuff are incredibly easy to make.
In order to get any vegetarian meals to taste “real” you need to learn to find products that emulate what you normally enjoy. There are so many vegetarian meals in the market these days that there is really plenty to choose from. I’m going to share with you my favorite brands.
My favorite brands for meat substitution are – Morning Star, Bocca Brands, Yves and Gardein. It is amazing what you can do with those meat substitutes. My favorite dessert brands are – Rice Dream, So Delicious and Amy’s. Here are two quick vegetarian meals that you can make from these items.
Quick Vegetarian Meals That You Will Enjoy
Lasagna in a Skillet
1 bag of Morning Star Crumbles
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 bag of bow tie pasta (cooked per instructions)
1 jar of spaghetti sauce
1 can of Italian diced tomatoes
1 cup of Ricotta Cheese (or cheese substitute)
2 cups of Mozzarella Cheese (or cheese substitute)
The following to your taste: sea salt, garlic powder, onion powder and Italian seasoning
Heat the olive oil in the pan, add the Morning Star crumbles and all the seasoning. Heat until done. Then add ingredients 3-6 stir and reduce heat. Add 2 cups of Mozzarella Cheese on top. Cover with the lid until the cheese melts. Turn off the heat and serve.
Sundae in a Glass
Blend 2 cups of vanilla Rice Dream with 1/2 cup of pineapples, 1/2 cup of strawberries, 1/2 banana and 1 tablespoon of Nutella. You may need to add a little soy milk or water to blend. Whiz in a blender and serve.
